How can I encourage the let-down reflex?
Apply a warm compress (such as a face wash) to your breast before a feed to encourage let-down and milk flow. Massaging the breast before attaching the Mumasil Breast Milk Saver can also encourage the let-down reflex.
It is easier to encourage a letdown and express milk when you are relaxed. Feeling rushed and flustered will impair your let-down.

Would you recommend the Mumasil Breast Milk Saver for a mother who is wanting to exclusively pump?
We don't recommend using the Mumasil as a pump. With the Mumasil there is no constant suction to mimic the baby feeding from the breast like how manual or electric breast pumps work. It suctions to the breast to create a seal so that milk from a letdown or a leaking breast can be collected without spillage. We recommend you use the Mumasil Breast Milk Saver for no longer than 10-15 minutes on the breast at one time to ensure there is not too much pressure or suction on the breast tissue.
When I am using the Mumasil Breast Milk Saver I am getting very little milk, why is this?
The best time to use your Mumasil Breast Milk Saver is during a feed when your baby is feeding from your opposite breast. It is recommended that you encourage a let-down before attaching the Mumasil Breast Milk Saver to your breast.
